What sizes and formats are the stock icons?

The sizes include 16x16, 24x24, 32x32, and 48x48. Image formats include .ico, 32-bit and 24-bit bmp, gif, 32-bit png and Adobe^®Photoshop^®.psd. But remember - we can optionally supply nearly every format you could ever need.

I need icons a format that you do not list - can you supply them?

We have a range of other icon formats that we do not include in the main stock icon set because it would be too big to download. The chances are that we can supply the format you need.

Are your icons compatible with Windows Vista?

Yes they are. Windows Vista will use the same format for toolbar icons as XP.

The specifications for Windows Vista mention a 256x256 image format. Do you supply those?

The 256x256 pixel images are just for application or desktop icons. Vista toolbars do not need images this size. We can supply 256x256 pixel png images for custom desktop icons.

I need icons that are not in the stock set. Can you make them for me?

Yes, you can use our custom-design service. Icons in the stock style are often cheaper that normal custom icons, and if we think an icon you have requested should be in the stock set, we will not charge for it.

How will I receive the icons once I have purchased them?

As soon as your payment has been authorized you will be emailed a download link. If you do not receive the email after an hour or so have a look in your spam folder before contacting us.

I notice you keep adding icons to the set. Are upgrades free?

Yes - once you have purchased an icon set you will be eligible for free upgrades to that set.

How can I pay for the icons?

Our online agents (swreg.org) accept all major credit and debit cards by FAX, phone, and online. They also take BACS, EFT, Wire, and PayPal. If you prefer, you can deal direct with Glyph Lab - we take Visa, Mastercard, Bank Transfers, Checks in Euros, US Dollars and Pounds Sterling and PayPal. Contact sales@glyphlab.com to deal direct.

Can I make new icons using your stock icons?

Yes, although the icons you make will still be subject to the original license agreement.

How much do you charge for custom design?

Every project is different, and so every price is different. It depends on how many sizes you need and how complex the icons are. Contact us for tailored pricing information.

Can you design icons and buttons for web pages?

Yes - about 50% of our work involves web graphics design.

Do you charge extra for extra sizes and image formats?

We do not charge extra for multiple image formats because it is an automated process. We like to spend time on each icon at each size to ensure they are sharp and legible, so we do charge a little extra for each extra size.

I need icons right now - can you do this for me?

We are usually quite busy, but can sometimes fit in work at very short notice. It's a good idea to contact us as soon as possible when you think you will need icons. It doesn't matter if you do not know all the icons you will need - we can be flexible and adapt a project as it proceeds.

I need a set of icons now, but I will need the occasional icon afterwards. How will that work?

It's not a problem. We have a large database of all the icons we have made for our clients. That makes it easy for us to pick up and restart a project at a later date.

I am located in a different country to you. Will that affect our working relationship?

Not at all! My clients are scattered around the world.

Some of my functions are quite obscure or technical - will you be able to make an icon for them?

We haven't been beaten by an icon yet. There's always some way of representing a function.
